Nick Johnston Joins Harrison College of Business

Nicholas “Nick” Johnston joined the hospitality management faculty in the Department of Management and Marketing August 2016.  Nick has a doctorate in Hospitality Administration from Texas Tech University with specializations in Food and Beverage Management and Consumer Behavior.  His dissertation was entitled, “Consumer Motivations and Responses towards State-Level Branded and Sustainable Ag-Related Products.”  He was provided a grant by the Wine Marketing Council to study millennials’ perceptions towards alternative wine packaging. He has over 12 years of experience in food and beverage management and catering.

Nick has become very active with the Faculty Operations Committee for Catapult Creative House.  He has provided a number of experiential learning activities for students in his classes via special events and activities provided through the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Catapult.  He is serving on the task force to gain ACPHA accreditation for the hospitality management degree program.
