Shout Out Awards

Two faculty members in the Donald L. Harrison College of Business and Computing were recognized by President Carlos Vargas with Southeast Shout-Out Awards. The Shout-Out Awards give us a way to celebrate when individuals put forth the extra effort and to encourage others to do the same.

 

Dr. Quantella Noto, assistant professor of hospitality management and hospitality management program director, was nominated by Dr. Bruce Skinner, associate vice president for student life, for her unwavering service and commitment to her students, in addition to the support she offered to the family of a former student who passed away this past summer. Dr. Noto showed compassion and understanding and shared memories of this student with her family,

 

Dr. Lori Mueller, instructor of accounting and coordinator of the Harrison College of Business and Computing Learning Community, was nominated by Allie Wisker, area coordinator for Residence Life, for her commitment to the success of the Harrison College of Business and Computing Learning Community by enhancing the students’ academic and personal experiences through a variety of enriching programs. She was also nominated for her diligent outreach efforts during and outside the academic year to recruit students for the community. “Dr. Mueller is a true joy to work with,” Wisker wrote. “She truly cares about students and put 110 percent into everything she does. I am lucky to work with her and our students are lucky to have her as a teacher.”
